Peace on Earth Shadowbox card

This is my Christmas card this year.  I am so happy with how it turned out.  There is a lot of detail that the photo does not show unfortunately.

Supplies:
  • 2 pieces white cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 & scrap for sheep & mountains
  • 1 piece blue cardstock 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 & a scrap
  • Scrap green cardstock
  • Scrap brown cardstock
  • Scrap yellow shimmer paper
  • Snowflakes cuttlebug folder
  • White embossing powder
  • Frost Versamark ink pad
  • Grey chalk
  • Peace on Earth stamp (purchased at Hobby Lobby)
  • 12" silver ribbon
  • Popdots

Ok so you will need to cut a circle in the center of one of your white pieces of cardstock.  Score both pieces of white card stock at 1/2" and 1" on both ends.  This will form your base.  Emboss the blue cardstock with the cuttlebug folder and add shimmer to it by inking the snowflakes with the Versamark ink pad.  Adhere this to the white piece that does not have the circle cut in it.

Next you will want to cut out all of the pieces.  I cut out a sheep from Paper Dolls Dress Up, the Mountains are from Paper Dolls for Every Day (I also added glitter to the mountain tops), the Star is from Doodlecharms and the Trees are cut (with the border feature) from Doodlecharms.  I popdotted the trees and the sheep.  Then punched a tiny hole just above the circle andt hreaded some clear thread through it to hang the star.  After embossing the stamped sentiment with white embossing powder, I used it to cover the hole for the thread.

After you have put all of the pieces on the base, you adhere the two pieces of whitecardstock together to the first score lines.  I then punched two holes and threaded silver ribbon through them and tied a little flat bow (not visible in the photo sorry).
