3 Month Anniversary Star Card

I am seriously excited about this star card (it is more like a book really).  It turned out very nicely!

  • 7 - 5 1/2 x 11 white cardstock
  • 7 - 5 1/2 x 9 white cardstock stamped
  • 7 - 5 1/2 x 7 cherry cobbler cardstock
  • 2 - 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 chipboard pieces (covered)
  • 2 sets of computer generated sentiments
  • Decorative Label Punch
  • 2 - 12" pieces of ribbon
  • Cherry Cobbler Ink
  • Scraps
  • Clear thread
  • Xyron Create-a-Sticker
  • 2 way glue pen
  • Scotch tape
  • Dimensionals
  • Lots and lots of adhesive
  • Half back self-adhesive pearls
Cut the sentiments out with the decorative curly label punch.  Run one set through the Xyron create-a-sticker and then attach two pieces of clear thread to the edges and then adhere the other sentiment to the back to hold the thread in place.  Fold all of the pieces in half (so you will have 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 pieces).  Starting with the 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 pieces, adhere them together into a "stack."  Then inside each of the 7 pieces, adhere the sides a 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 pieces (lining up the edges.  Using scotch tape, adhere the thread to the back of the 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 pieces.  Adhere the edges of these as you did with the 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 pieces.  Attach the ribbon to the top and the bottom of the stack and then adhere the covered chipboard pieces to the front and the back.  I decorated the front cover with the double heart from the Wedding cartridge.  I glittered the layer and adhered it with dimensionals.  This was a fairly easy project, but it was a bit time intensive.

New Craft Space

Woohoo!  A new desk and a new chair!  My sweetheart definitely went all out for our 3-6 month anniversaries.  :-)  My old desk was super wobbly, so he bought me a new desk and then decided I also needed a new chair.  I just can't get over how much space I have now!

Day 6 Collection of Cards

Have I mentioned that I absolutely LOVE shadowbox cards??  If not, I DO!

  • 2 - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Chocolate Chip cardstock
  • 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock
  • Computer generated sentiment
  • 2 - 9" pieces 1/8" brown ribbon
  • Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots)
  • Scalloped Heart punch
  • Dimensionals
Score each piece of the chocolate chip cardstock (on both sides) at 5 & 4 1/2.  Cut a circle in the center of one of the chocolate chip pieces.  Run the piece of cherry cobbler through the cuttlebug and adhere to the center of the back piece of chocolate chip.  Cut the sentiment out (the same size as the circle you cut in the front of the card base) and then using the scalloped heart punch, cut a little piece out to look like a bite has been taken out of it.  Adhere with dimensionals.  Adhere the front and back of hte base together.  Punch two holes on each side and thread the ribbon through and tie it into a quick knot.

Day 5 Collection of Cards

I just love the colors on this card.  It came out really cute!

  • 5 1/2 x 12 blue cardstock
  • 1 1/2 x 12 Always Artichoke cardstock
  • Scrap Daffodil Delight cardstock
  • Scrap Chocolate Chip cardstock
  • Scrap Crumb Cake cardstock
  • Scrap lavendar cardstock
  • Half back self-adhesive pearls
  • Computer generated sentiment
  • Cuttlebug (Beautiful Wings SU embosslet)
  • Black .1 mm pen
  • Dimensionals
  • Mini gluedots
Score blue cardstock at 2, 4, 8, & 10.  Cut 1 1/2" in between the 2" & 10" scorelines.  Fold mountain and valleys.  Also score the always artichoke cardstock 2, 4, 8, 10 and fold and adhere to the bottom of the base.  Adhere the signs together and then to the card.  Adhere the sun with dimensionals.  Cut butterflies using the beautiful wings embosslet.  Fold the 2 larger butterflies in half and then adhere with glue dots.  I cut a 1/8 strip of always artichoke cardstock and cut in 1 1/2" lengths for the stems.  Adhere the stems and then using dimenionals adhere the flowers above them.  I placed mini pearls in the center of each flower.  Adhere the computer generated sentiment.
