Mom Treasure Book

My Mom's birthday is December 13, so I made a special treasure book for her.  She loves the color purple and butterflies, so I used both of them in this book.  I found the idea for this book in a video.  Paper Bag Mini Album Insturctions  I am not going to bother recreating the wheel by posting instructions.  But I do want to share the different components within the book I made.

Here is the cover.  MOM is cut from Gypsy Font.

The cover inside and out are lined with paper from Close to My Heart.

There were a total of  8 horizontal pockets.  The smaller pockets have embossed butterflies (using the cuttlebug butterfly embossing folders).  The longer pockets have butterflies made out of glitter paper.

This is a trifold (accordian folded) with swivelling hooks made out of gold shimmer paper to hold it closed.  The closures are adhered with pop dots and swivel on mini brads.

Here is the trifold unfolded.  This is reserved for photos.

Each set of pages is covered with a different paper (all in shades of purple).

Here is a waterfall card.  I put M O M on the squares.

I'm not overly happy with how this one turned out.  It opens up (see next photo).  I think it will probably end up as a place for journaling.

This is a double display card also reserved for photos.  The top is gold shimmer paper embossed with the cuttlebug floral fancy folder.

The verticle pockets have ribbon attached to them.  The larger ones have purple ribbon.

The smaller verticle pockets are also embossed and have white ribbom.
