Day 2 Collection of Cards

This is day 2 in my collection of cards for my sweetheart.  :-)  This is another easel card.  These cards look difficult, but they are really really easy to make.  This card is made to fit a 5 x 5 envelope.

Supplies
  • 5 x 10 white cardstock (base)
  • 5 x 5 white cardstock (front of base)
  • 4 x 4 white cardstock (layer)
  • 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 pink cardstock
  • Scraps pink cardstock
  • Black 1 mm pen
  • White gel pen
  • Ribbon (7" & 3")
  • Cuddlebug (Swiss dots)
  • Dimensional
The easel card is so simple to make!  Score the 5 x 10 piece at 2 1/2" & 5" so you will have a half fold and a quarter fold on one section).  Adhere the 5 x 5 piece from the edge to the 2 1/2 score line.  Inside the card, place a little heart where you want the easel to rest.  Add the sentiment.  I embossed the heart on the front using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

To make the bow, just put a loose knot in the middle of the 7" piece of ribbon, slide the 3" piece into the knot and then pull tight.  Adhere the ends of the 7" piece on the backside of the layer and trim the 3" piece to the size you want.  This saves a lot of wasted ribbon!
